The diner closed about a year ago. In the rebuilt site is Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza and a soon to be opened Starbucks.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything before, after, and in-between. Big groups, small groups, or by yourself if you're out here late at night. 24/7 (almost). How could you ask for more? There really isn't much around here, but if you so happen to be out here, you can easily default to Airport Restaurant and Diner. The food and the service are standard fare for any diner; it clearly won't tease your palate, but you're not going to regret coming to this place either. As with any diner, stay away from the 'exotic' stuff (ie. the steak meal) and stick with the simple (ie. burgers, sandwiches, breakfast) and you're golden. Besides, how can you wrong with corned hash, two eggs over easy, home fries, rye toast with orange marmalade, and a hot cup of black coffee early in the morning?

Great diner. Had a nice Feta Omelette with home fries. The omelette was huge and cooked perfectly. The iced tea was as good as you would find anywhere in the South. Excellent place for breakfast.

Very good, typical LI diner. Large menu, good breakfasts (that's my usual diner fare) not too expensive. They even have the plate of little cookies on the way out if you prefer to mints. There are a few other diners in the area but I think this is the best.

Dont know whats happened to this place. Food and presentaton has gone down hill for the past year. No taste, sloppy presenation, brown lecttuce, old tuna, using the ends of bread for a club sandwich and so many other bad examples. Customer service is great just wish the food was, whatever you changed about a year ago go back to.....the only good thing now is eggs.

Since they're listed twice, I'm posting my review in both places. Holy sh*t Batman...this place sucks!!! Let me tell you why... My boyfriend, and I, arrived there after he finished his DJ'ing gig. We were greeted by a surly hostess who seated us, followed by a frowning server who gave us our menus. We put in an order of mozzarella sticks, but were feeling a bit tired from the evening, so it took us a little bit longer than usual to decide on on our entrees. Nothing over the top though. The mozzarella sticks were decent/average at best, but the sauce was not good. It had a funny taste, like it came out of a can. As for our entrees- my bf got the french toast and I got the turkey club. He rated the french toast a 4, b/c it was the driest french toast he'd ever had. There wasn't enough cinnamon and was rather tasteless. As for my turkey club, I barely got to eat any of it, b/c the hostess came over and proceeded to tell us that it was near closing time and that we would have to leave. I asked, 'Are we allowed to finish our dinner?' to which she replied, 'I don't know. You've been here awhile. I checked to see if your meal was brought out late, but it wasn't. You've been talking a long time!' She then proceeded to berate us, particularly me, for talking at the table "too long." (For the record, we hadn't even been at the diner for an hour yet). Never in my life have I been forced out of a restaurant b/f finishing a meal. I'm not the type to dawdle, and hang out for long periods of time at a restaurant, but I do like to have a conversation with the person I'm eating dinner with. We should've just walked out leaving our food w/o paying, or told her to step off and that we would leave once we were done eating. But we chose the high road. We still paid for the meal, and wrapped up my meal to go, even though we were treated so disrespectfully. The host continued her tirade as my bf went to pay the bill. Sadly, he tipped the server- I wish he hadn't. Lesson learned for next time (which hopefully there won't be!) This place has horrible customer service and they don't deserve your patronage. The food is overpriced and there are plenty of other diners serving all the same food to fulfill your needs, while giving you a smile, friendly service and not treating you like a piece of crap. Walk...run...and fly far, far away, Robin, from the Airport Diner as fast as you can!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
